How did I start my fitness journey?
Growing up, I was a cheerleader for about 10 years and I played ice hockey for 1. In 2013, my best friend and I began training for our very first 5k together, a Warrior Dash. We would run together, and hit up 5am Bootcamps that completely kicked my butt… But after we finished that race together, I was so incredibly proud of what I saw I was capable of doing, I quickly fell in love with the process of getting stronger and continued to find new ways of pushing myself.
What inspired me to become a coach?
Fitness radically changed my life, and I fell in love with every good thing that came with it. I’ve also ALWAYS loved working with people, and helping people… it just made more sense to me every single time I considered becoming a Coach. It has been the greatest spontaneous decision I’ve made, haha!
What is my favorite Benchmark or style of Workout?
Truthfully, my relationship with Benchmark WODs is still very young. I do enjoy SO many different types of workouts, some of my favorites being kettlebell and animal flow… But nothing has felt better to me than Functional Body Building. With this kind of workout, I can hit every element I enjoy: kettlebells, weightlifting, gymnastics, conditioning, mobility… It’s been my preferred style of training for years!
